Facilitator Consultation Program
Overview
At The Center Origin, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality and accessible training and consultation services that align with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Natural Medicine Consultation requirements. Our services cater to those who wish to offer psychedelic-assisted services in the state. Upon completing the requisite didactic and practicum training, learners can apply for a Training License, which allows them to legally charge for psychedelic services within their practice.

As part of the DORA licensing process, all individuals pursuing licensure must fulfill 40 hours of consultation within two years from the issuance of their Training License. The Center Origin’s consultation services are designed to meet these requirements while empowering consultees to excel in their psychedelic practice, ensuring both safety and ethical compliance.

Our consultation services emphasize the integration of psychedelic modalities into existing practices, fostering an approach that prioritizes accessibility, safety, and the latest advancements in both psychedelic research and client care.

Core Competencies Developed in Consultation:
Our consultation process is built to enhance practitioners’ skills across several key areas critical to the delivery of psychedelic-assisted services.

-
Non-Directive Approach: Cultivating an approach that emphasizes client autonomy and self-discovery.
-
Relational Boundaries and Use of Touch: Navigating boundaries and understanding the role of physical presence in therapeutic settings.
-
Cultural Competence: Understanding and integrating cultural considerations into the therapeutic process.
-
Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness: Deepening knowledge of altered states of consciousness and how to facilitate these safely.
-
Self-Care: Encouraging practitioners to develop strategies for maintaining their own mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
-
Ethics: Ensuring that all practices are aligned with the highest ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.

The Consultant will lead discussions, providing both group and individualized analysis on what worked well and what can be improved. This process ensures that trainees are prepared to offer optimized services to their clients.
Individual Consultation Process:
-
The individual consultation process provides a deeper exploration into unique cases, focusing on complex client needs and refining the practitioner’s service approach. Trainees have the opportunity to review video recordings of their sessions, receiving personalized feedback that helps to strengthen their clinical skills and boost their confidence in real-world applications.
